Facade Photography
Chris has been photographing buildings for decades, and loves seeking out key perspectives/hero shots that showcase a project. A typical Architectural Photoshoot will involve taking a range of photos from front on wide angles, to further away contextual photos, and close-up material details.
Chris is meticulous about researching a project prior to the shoot, making sure the best angles are picked up at the right time of day. This is achieved through:
Reviewing project drawings
Assessing sun paths across the site
Analysing the local context (streets and heights of buildings)
Recceing a location beforehand where possible
Monitoring weather conditions
Careful selection of lenses to achieve the right look in every position around the building
Project Examples
Below are some key projects shot for various construction clients. They highlight a range of built forms in different lighting conditions.
