Facade Photography

Chris has been photographing buildings for decades, and loves seeking out key perspectives/hero shots that showcase a project. A typical Architectural Photoshoot will involve taking a range of photos from front on wide angles, to further away contextual photos, and close-up material details.

Chris is meticulous about researching a project prior to the shoot, making sure the best angles are picked up at the right time of day. This is achieved through:

  • Reviewing project drawings

  • Assessing sun paths across the site

  • Analysing the local context (streets and heights of buildings)

  • Recceing a location beforehand where possible

  • Monitoring weather conditions

  • Careful selection of lenses to achieve the right look in every position around the building
